Solo poche settimane fa Sturgill Simpson ci ha sorpresi con l’uscita di ‘Cuttin’ Grass Vol. 1’, suo personalissimo tributo ai classici e agli standard del bluegrass e del country americano, e oggi pubblica il secondo volume.

Vol. 2 è stato registrato con un team formato dai migliori musicisti bluegrass e country acustici degli states, band che per l’occasione ha preso il nome di The Hillbilly Avengers.

Il nuovo volume include anche una nuova versione di ‘Jesus Boogie’, originalmente composta dalla prima band di Sturgill Simpson, i Sunday Valley, oltre ai due inediti ‘Tennessee’ e ‘Hobo Cartoon’.
