A pochi mesi dalla pubblicazione dell’EP “Want The News? Here’s The Blues” uscito il 27 Novembre per One Little Indian/Audioglobe, THE COMPUTERStornano con “Birth / Death”, il terzo full length della band di Exeter (UK) in uscita il 30 Settembre per One Little Indian / Audioglobe. Il disco, registrato nel loro studio personale nel più profondo Devon (Cornovaglia, UK), si compone di 11 tracce prodotte e mixate da David McEwan (Plan B, Nitin Sawhney) che nascono da una miscela esplosiva di puro rock’n’roll mescolato a soul e grunge, capaci di affascinare e conquistare tanto il pubblico più giovane quanto quello più adulto. Ad anticipare il disco è il singolo “This Ain’t Right”. Un tre minuti di feroce e caotico punk blues, completati dalla profonda voce di Al Kershaw, che così descrive: “The crippling gruel of discontent. The unnerving feeling of injustice. Just when you think things can’t get much worse…they do. This is our sentiment with this song. […] We wanted to recreate the infectious feel of the soul break beat / with the intense heaviness and weight of real life. The clouds are forming, the birds are silent, and know cars are passing by … This Ain’t Right.”

Originari di Exeter (UK), THE COMPUTERS hanno pubblicato il secondo album in studio Love Triangles, Hate Squares nel 2013, grazie al quale hanno conquistato la critica mondiale e radio britanniche come BBC 1, BBC 6 ed XFM. La band ha tuttavia guadagnato gran parte del suo pubblico grazie alle energiche e travolgenti performance dal vivo, che li hanno portati in tour per tutta Europa e che nel 2013 li hanno fatti scegliere personalmente dai Die Toten Hosen per la loro tournée tedesca, conclusasi all’Esprit Stadium di Dusseldorf davanti a cinquantamila persone.
