Sabato 17 ottobre Rumer torna a esibirsi dal vivo in un live stream concert in diretta da Lafayette Londraper presentare Nashville Tears, l’album, omaggio al cantautore country Hugh Prestwood, pubblicato ad agosto, con il quale ha raggiunto la 1° posizione nella UK Country Chart, ed è entrata di diritto nella UK Americana Chart.

“Nashville Tears” è il nuovo album di Rumer pubblicato il 14 agosto. Una raccolta di brani, alcuni mai pubblicati, scritti dal cantautore country Hugh Prestwood.
Rumerha da sempre dimostrato un forte interesse per lo storytelling della musica country. Mentre viveva nel sud degli Stati Uniti, lontano dalle luci della ribalta, la sua passione per la scoperta e ricerca di nuova musica l’ha portata a conoscere la “Nashville Songwriters Hall of Famer” e i lavori di Hugh Prestwood, le cui canzoni sono diventate protagoniste di “Nashville Tears”. L’album si compone di quindici brani scelti tra le gemme del cantautore di Nashville, tra cui anche pezzi mai incisi prima, che spaziano da tematiche intime e romaniche a realistiche e universali.
Con arrangiamenti grandiosi e elementi tradizionali, “Nashville Tears” è stato prodotto da Fred Mollin agli StarStruck Studios con alcuni dei migliori artisti della ‘Music City’: Mandy Barnett, Pat Buchanan, Matt Dame, Stuart Duncan, Tania Hancheroff, Lorrie Harden, Tommy Harden, Mike Johnson, Kerry Marx, Gordon Mote, Larry Paxton, Scotty Sanders, e Bryan Sutton.
Rumer applica la sua eleganza sottile e rilassata a un ricco stile canoro e si unisce a una lunga lista di stimati artisti che hanno interpretato i brani di Prestwood (Trisha Yearwood, Alison Krauss, Judy Collins).
Nota per “Seasons of My Soul”, il disco di debutto del 2010, doppio platino in UKcon oltre 615.000copie vendute ed al #3 della UK Album Charts, tra i 40 migliori album debutti della decade, Rumer ha pubblicato nel 2012 “Boys Don’t Cry”, una selezione di brani di famosi artisti degli anni ’70 che ha raggiunto in poche settimane la #3 della UK Album Chartse, poco dopo, si è aggiudicato il disco d’Oro.
