Dopo l’acclamato disco del 2013 Stone Beads And Silver, MARC CARROLL torna con il settimo album in studio Love Is All or Love Is Not At All, in uscita il 6 novembrevia One Little Indian Records. Prodotto dallo stesso MARC CARROLL in collaborazione con Graham Sutton (Bark Psychosis, These New Puritans), l’album raccoglie dieci brani che riflettono sul trionfo dell’amore sopra il potere distruttivo delle avversità. Il disco è stato anticipato dal singolo Ball And Chain, una decisa chiamata all’unità della popolazione mondiale contro le ingiustizie e le crudeltà tra i diversi popoli e ceti sociali, accompagnata da un video che raccoglie alcune delle immagini più crude e significative della piu’ recente storia internazionale.
Love Is All or Love Is Not At All vanta numerose collaborazioni, tra cui spicca quella sulla title-track con il poeta, autore, filosofo e leggendario musicista Penny Rimbaud, co-fondatore della storica band punk Crass. Il brano è una meditazione sull’essenza dell’amore scritta e cantata dallo stesso Rimbaud, che racconta “what’s my connection with Marc? A sense of love. What kind of sense is that? Common sense. It’s all in the title, Love is… All”. Allo stesso modo, l’artwork dell’album Love Is All or Love Is Not At All è stato realizzato da Gee Vaucher, autrice delle grafiche dei Crass; come spiega MARC CARROLL “everything about Penny and Gee resonates with me, their art, words, sense of humour. Their life’s work has influenced millions. And it has been a life’s work. It’s a beautiful story that is still lived out to this day. Quite simply, there is no authority but yourself”.
